On behalf of the Borders, Chesser, and Fletcher families, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to David Guillet and Craig George for their dedication and efforts in securing a generous donation through the Bank of Montgomery in support of the Lisa Chesser Borders Meraki Scholarship.

Their generosity brings us one step closer to achieving our second scholarship endowment, a milestone that will help ensure the continued growth and long-term sustainability of this program. Through their support, we are better able to invest in Northwestern State University students and provide meaningful opportunities for talented young artists who demonstrate excellence, dedication, and promise.

We are sincerely thankful for their belief in our mission and for helping us continue Lisa’s legacy through education, creativity, and service to others.

Last week, we had the pleasure of commemorating The Golden Jubilee Class of 1976. It has been a wonderful time welcoming the graduates back on campus to relive old memories and fellowship with their classmates as they celebrate the 50 years since their graduation from Northwestern State University. We are honored to serve such an incredible group of alumni. We look forward to seeing you all again next year as we welcome the Class of 1977 to celebrate their 50 years! 😈💜

The 44th Annual Chris Roper Memorial Golf Tournament was held on April 25, bringing together alumni, friends, and supporters for a day filled with food, fun, and friendly competition on the course.
This meaningful event honors the legacy of Chris Roper, a standout NSU golfer from Camden, Arkansas, whose life was tragically cut short in 1982. His memory continues to live on through this long-standing tradition of giving.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and teed off, and a special thank-you to Chris’ parents, Mary & Rick Roper, sister Cindy Loudenslager, and dedicated friends for their continued generosity to NSU in keeping Chris’ legacy alive.

Congratulations to our Northwestern State University students on receiving their rings during the Ring Ceremony for the Spring 2026 graduating class. This moment marks an important transition from student to future alumni, honoring their hard work, achievements, and memories made throughout their academic journey. Entry is $85 per player and includes green fees, cart, lunch, and drinks. Prizes for top teams and contest winners. Sponsorships available.

Hey Demons, mark your calendars for the Chris Roper Memorial Golf Tournament on April 25. The weekend kicks off with a cocktail party on Friday, April 24, then continues with a four-person scramble and lunch on Saturday. Entry is $85 per player, covering green fees, cart rental, lunch, and drinks. Prizes go to the top three teams, plus winners of the Closest to the Hole and Long Drive contests. You can also sign up for sponsorships!
