Last month Louisiana CASA hosted a training in Alexandria on the newly developed Child Well-being Assessment for Region 4 CASA staff. This training is part of our ongoing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Initiative, which aims to elevate child advocacy across the state through evidence-based and data-informed practices.

Designed for staff who supervise CASA volunteers, the training focused on how to integrate the updated assessment into case management workflows and how to ensure volunteers are effectively trained to use this tool in their advocacy. By equipping staff with these resources, we’re laying the groundwork for more consistent, informed, and impactful advocacy for children in foster care.

Louisiana CASA’s CQI Initiative, launched in 2024, represents a long-term commitment to improving outcomes for children by using data to inform practice, build accountability, and drive meaningful change. Through initiatives like this, we’re ensuring that every child’s voice is not only heard, but truly understood. 💙❤

Last week, CASA of Central Louisiana held a CASA Refresher Training for our incredible volunteer advocates! 💙

During the training, we covered a variety of important topics, including court report writing, advocacy best practices, and ways to continue providing the highest level of support for the children we serve.

Of course, we also took time to celebrate our amazing volunteers with pizza, ice cream, and door prizes! 🍕🍦🎁

We are so grateful for the time, compassion, and dedication each of our CASA volunteers gives to children in foster care. Your commitment truly changes lives, and we couldn’t do this important work without you.

We are incredibly grateful to Westside Baptist Church and all of the amazing Vacation Bible School students for their generous support of CASA of Central Louisiana!

Westside Baptist Church VBS boys vs. girls giving challenge was a huge success, with the girls pulling ahead on the final day! Together, the students raised an incredible $1,388.55 to support our mission of advocating for children who have experienced abuse and neglect.

Your generosity is a beautiful example of God’s love in action, and every dollar will help us continue serving children in our community.

We have officially kicked off our summer CASA volunteer training with these two wonderful women who have stepped forward to become a voice for abused and neglected children in our community.

Their willingness to give their time, compassion, and dedication will make a lasting difference in the lives of children who need support the most. We are excited to walk alongside them on this journey and can’t wait to see the impact they will make.
