Whether your child is a video game pro or a board game afficionado, all are welcome at Kid Gamers Club, Saturday, September 12, from 2-3:30 PM for ages 6-12 at the NPL's Main branch. Catch up with the kids over a game of monopoly or let them loose in multiplayer mania; they'll be sure to find something to enjoy at Kid Gamers Club.

Snacks are provided during the event. Visit in person or call 318-238-9222 to sign up. Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the event.

Celebrating the Life of Dolly Parton, January 19, 1946 - August 25, 2026

The Natchitoches Parish Library offers its condolences to all those who hold dear the country music star Dolly Parton, whose passing was announced today, August 25, 2026. Known as much for her brilliantly written lyrics as for the power of her performances, Dolly's legacy includes a tireless advocacy for literacy and an intense commitment to children's education. With that in mind, the NPL wishes to honor Parton's work by reminding our patrons that her Imagination Library continues to offer free, monthly books, delivered by mail to the homes of children across Louisiana.

Presented by LSU AgCenter's Erin Stockton, Harvest of the Month teaches children, ages 3-12, about the importance of good nutrition through hands-on lessons in food selection and preparation.
