FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The City of Natchitoches announces that the temporary closure of the east side of the Touline Street intersection at Second Street, which began on Saturday, August 15, will remain in effect through Monday, August 17, for the construction of a new sewer main.

Traffic accessing businesses on Touline Street between Front Street and Second Street may access that area from Front Street, but must also exit via Front Street.

The City of Natchitoches apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this temporary closure but appreciates the public’s patience during this time.

Road Closure Notice

Thomas Street and Prather Street

NATCHITOCHES-The City of Natchitoches advises the public that the intersection of Thomas Street and Prather Street will be closed on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, beginning at 8:00 AM.

Thomas Street will be closed from Payne Street to Sanford Street, and Prather Street will be closed from Amulet Street to Thomas Street.

The road closure is necessary to allow the City of Natchitoches Utility Department to complete repairs in the area. The roadway will remain closed until all repairs have been completed.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and exercise caution when traveling in the area.
