Warming Center
The City of Natchitoches opens a warming center for those experiencing homelessness in partnership with the Natchitoches Coalition on Homelessness to provide a place of warmth for the areas homeless.
The center is important to save lives especially when the temperature dips below freezing on Saturday January 24th, Sunday 25th, Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th.
Blankets, coffee, and warm meals are being provided.
The warming center is located inside the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center located at 660 Martin Luther King Dr.
The Center will be opened on Saturday morning 9 a.m. for drop off of donations of needed supplies:
• Warm Blankets
• Water
• Drinks
• Cups
• Plates
• Bowls
• Coffee
• Hot Chocolate
• Snacks
• Napkins
• Forks
• Spoons’
Open Saturday at 1p.m. for our homeless to arrive
We are in need of volunteers that are able commit to at least 4 hours at time.
Asking Churches, The Devine 9 organizations and other community organizations to supports us in this effort.
