The MetroWest Health Foundation is seeking community input to improve the health and wellbeing of our region!

Every few years, the MetroWest Health Foundation administers a Community Health Assessment Survey to help to understand what residents are experiencing, assess changes in health needs, and respond to identified health challenges.

Please provide your anonymous feedback through their short survey and share the survey with your networks. It only takes 10 minutes to complete!

The multilingual survey can be found here --> https://hria.iad1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9XOgskoaq7Ask5g

UPDATE:
DPH collected a sample from the middle basin of Lake Cochituate on June 10th. Cyanobacteria cells count total and microcystin results are listed below. Middle Pond was below MDPH guideline levels.

MDPH requires two rounds of samples below the guideline level, collected one week apart, to recommend rescinding an advisory. This will be considered the first round, and MDPH will collect samples again on June 17th. We recommend the advisory remain in place for now.

Visual evidence provided by the Department of Conservation & Recreation (DCR) indicates the presence of cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) cells in the Middle Pond of Lake Cochituate are at levels that may exceed MDPH guidelines. Accordingly, MDPH is recommending that a cyanobacteria advisory be issued for Middle Pond and signage be posted at all access points warning against any contact with the water.

MDPH will conduct follow-up sampling once the bloom has dissipated.
