The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has informed town officials that West Nile Virus has been detected in a collection of mosquitoes in Natick in North Main St/Rutledge Rd/ Westlake Rd/ Cypress Rd area of town and that the risk level is moderate.

To date, eight human cases have tested positive for the virus in Massachusetts. The Town of Natick has coordinated with the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project (CMMCP) to spray the designated area of concern on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 after sunset up until midnight.

Residents have the ability to opt out of spraying in front of their property by visiting www.mass.gov/how-to/how-to-request-exclusion-from-wide-area-pesticides-application. Those
wishing to opt out of the spraying program should do so at the provided link as soon as possible to ensure they are excluded.

In recognition of National Recovery Month, this documentary followed by a panel discussion will show attendees what substance use addiction and recovery really looks like from those who have experienced it themselves.

Tomorrow evening Natick 180 Morse Institute Library Natick SOAR Natick Town of Natick, MA are partnering together to bring a special screening of "Recovery City" followed by a panel discussion to the Natick community.
