On July 4, 1897, construction was underway beside the railroad depot in downtown Natick. This 129-year-old photograph provides a glimpse of Natick Center at the end of the nineteenth century.

The reverse is inscribed, “Depot – Natick – July 4th, 1897 Louie A. Bacon.” The photograph was donated by Mrs. Lucille Brooks of Kinsman Place, Natick, in the 1930s.
