Members of the Natick Soldier Systems Center community joined residents, veterans, local leaders and students today for the Town of Natick’s annual Memorial Day observance honoring the men and women who gave their lives in service to the nation.

NSSC Chaplain Lt. Col. Jason Southard delivered the benediction during the ceremony, which also featured remarks from representatives of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Town of Natick, performances by Natick High School students, a wreath-laying ceremony conducted by local Scouts, and keynote remarks from Vietnam Veteran Dave Josselyn.

As the community gathered in remembrance, the ceremony served as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by generations of service members and the enduring responsibility to honor their legacy.

Reinvigorating connection, community and support, the inaugural Veterans’ Spaghetti Luncheon was held May 20 at the Lord Community Center on Natick Soldier Systems Center.

As part of efforts to reinvigorate the Veteran Support Council, veterans from across the installation and local community came together to share a meal, reconnect with fellow service members and strengthen the bonds built through military service. The luncheon created space for meaningful conversations, shared experiences and renewed commitment to supporting the veteran community.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event a success. Together, we are strengthening partnerships, fostering engagement and building momentum for the future of veteran support at NSSC.

COL Harry Hung, Acting Director, IMCOM Directorate Transformation and Training, and CSM Sebastian Camacho, Senior Enlisted Leader, IMCOM Directorate Transformation and Training, toured the installation, gained firsthand insight into mission capabilities and operations, and met with installation leadership and staff to discuss priorities, challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the garrison.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the critical work performed across Natick Soldier Systems Center while fostering open dialogue on transformation, training and installation readiness.
