As a leader in the army, I want you all to know that true strength is not only about courage on the battlefield, but also about integrity in every decision we make. It’s about holding ourselves accountable, even when no one is watching, and leading by example. Integrity means being honest with our brothers and sisters in arms, staying committed to our values, and standing up for what is right, even when it’s difficult. Together, we move as one, protecting each other not just with our actions, but with our unwavering sense of honor. Let's lead with pride and integrity.

Seeing this young American walking with his pony reminds me of what we serve to protect. It’s not just the land or the flag, it’s the promise that our children can grow up safe, free, and full of possibility. I’ve learned that the future of this nation rests in moments just like this: small hands learning responsibility, young hearts learning pride, and quiet days built on the sacrifices of many.

Today, we celebrated the timeless values of the through the sacred tradition of the Ring Melt. In this powerful ceremony, the rings of 73 West Point graduates were donated to be used in the making of rings for the Class of 2026. This powerful tradition honors selfless service and serves as a lasting inspiration for our future leaders. As the lyrics of says, 𝑮𝒓𝒊𝒑 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒐’ 𝒊𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒔.

Honored to speak at the AFCEA event this week, standing alongside distinguished leaders, dedicated professionals, and the next generation of military leaders from across our armed forces. Our shared mission of advancing communication, cybersecurity, and national defense is more vital than ever. Events like this remind us that real progress in defense and technology requires both innovation and unity across all branches. The energy, intellect, and commitment of our cadets and junior officers reaffirm that the future of our Armed Forces is in exceptional hands. I’m grateful for the opportunity to engage, listen, and lead with purpose, vision, and pride. Together, we build strength through partnership and serve with unwavering dedication. The mission continues.

I never went looking for the easy road, I took the one that tested me. More discipline. More heart. More of everything. Not to impress anyone, but to prove to myself that I could. Sometimes, all it takes is someone saying 'you can't', and that’s all the fire you need to quietly show them you can. No spotlight, no applause, just purpose. If you’ve ever chosen the harder path just because it was hard… you already know. That kind of strength? It hits different. And yeah, that’s something to be damn proud of.
