Crews from the AK valley, and butler county worked quickly and efficiently to stop the approximately 6 acre fire. The fire was caused by a tree falling on a power line and not somone open burning.

The 4th of July is around the corner and while you are out at the stores......If you're out shopping this weekend pick up a couple extra cases of water, Gatorade drinks, freeze pops and drop them off at your local fire department.

The amazing protective equipment that your volunteers wear to keep us safe in fires can quickly cause us to overheat and become dehydrated in temperatures in the 70's and 80's.

If no one is there just leave it outside the door with a note it will be greatly appreciated!

Think about that on your next shopping trip, your local Firefighters will be very grateful!

Thank you for the constant support!
