The Virginia Safari Park, Virginia’s only drive-thru safari park, is located on 180-acres in the foothills of the Blueridge Mountains. Home to more than 1000 animals, there is no shortage in animal diversity, including Giraffes, White Rhinos, Cheetahs, African Penguins, Zebras, Bengal Tigers, and more. The Safari drive-thru portion offers visitors the opportunity to see and feed animals up-close f

rom their vehicles. Guest can also interact with animals in the Safari village or up close during a memorable encounter with sloths, rhinos, or penguins. We're located in the Shenandoah Valley, a short day trip from Roanoke, Lynchburg, Staunton, Charlottesville, Richmond, Maryland and DC. The sweetest way to end a wild day! 🍦🦓 After exploring the safari, feeding your favorite animals, and strolling through the Safari Village, stop by the Watering Hole Café for a delicious ice cream treat!

The café is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 AM–4 PM, so make dessert part of your weekend safari adventure! 😋

Before the adventure ends, stop by the gift shop and find the perfect way to remember your wild day! From cuddly animal friends to safari souvenirs, choosing just one might be the hardest part. 😂

You can also buy feed for the Village animals here, including lettuce, pheasant food, budgie sticks, and goat feed, so you can make even more animal friends during your visit!
