Natural Bridge State Park This Historic Landmark stands 200 feet tall over a limestone gorge and is surrounded by forests, meadows, karst terrain and mountain vistas. Vulgar language. B.

Enjoy a visitor center, hiking trails, disc golf trail, group campsites and astronomy at this Dark Sky Park. DCR's social media activities are intended to present agency matters of public interest to clients, businesses and visitors. We're excited to kick off our Park After Dark programs for the 2026 season. 🌠 You don't want to miss these special ranger-led adventures.

⚠️ Pre-registration and payment is required for all programs.

Lantern Tour of the Natural Bridge
💡 Follow a guide along the trail to the Natural Bridge and uncover stories from its past, all by lantern light.
🎟️ $7 for adults (13+), $4 for children (12 and younger)
📅 Thursdays in June, July and August, and Sept. 3

Lookin' for Lightning Bugs Sunset Walk
🌄 Join park rangers on a family-friendly walk on the Skyline Trail to see the sun set over the mountains and watch lightning bugs glow in the meadows below.
🎟️ $3 per person

Night Hike
🌑 This moderate 1.25-mile hike will give you a chance to encounter owls, lightning bugs, shooting stars and the moonlit silhouette of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

🥾 Join a ranger‑led walk along Cedar Creek Trail and under the Natural Bridge to learn how the landscape shapes the plants and animals that live here. Enjoy a 1‑mile, 1‑hour tour and see what these 470-million-year-old stones have to say.

📞 Pre‑registration and payment required: 540-254‑0795. $9 for adults (13 and older), $6 for children (12 and younger)
♿ The trail is flat, but accessing it requires 137 stairs. If needed, alternative transportation is available. Please let us know during registration.

🥾 Celebrate National Trails Day with us! Whether you're hiking a favorite trail or discovering a new one, this day is all about enjoying the outdoors and giving back to the trails you love.

In honor of National Trails Day, we're hosting a ranger-led hike along Buck Hill Trail, which was largely built by volunteers. This adventure is roughly 2 miles long and includes a steady elevation gain.

We have an opening for an Interpretive Ranger, an important role that helps connect our visitors to the incredible natural, historical and cultural stories that make this park so special.

As an Interpretive Ranger, you’ll:
🚸 Create and present engaging programs, tours and field trips
🐢 Care for exhibit animals and support daily operations
📋 Staff the visitor center information desk and assist with registrations
💡 Collaborate on special events like Luminary Nights
🙋‍♀️ Provide outstanding customer service to all park visitors
