Last week, the staff at City Hill held their 2nd Annual Underground Spirit Week! 🎉 Each day brought a new surprise theme, and our students had an absolute blast trying to figure out what the staff were up to! From creative outfits to lots of laughs and excitement throughout the building, the mystery kept everyone engaged and entertained all week long.

A huge thank you to our staff for bringing so much fun, energy, and school spirit to City Hill. It’s moments like these that help make our school community such a special place! ❤️🩶

Yesterday, our 8th Grade Choir, Specialty Choir Harmonizers, and Specialty Band represented our school at the annual Music in the Parks Competition at CCSU. After showcasing their hard work and talent, students enjoyed a fun-filled day at Lake Compounce before attending the awards ceremony.

We are proud to announce their outstanding results:
🥈 Specialty Band – 2nd Place
🥈 8th Grade Choir – 2nd Place
🥇 Harmonizers – 1st Place

These achievements are a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and passion of our student musicians, as well as the support and guidance of their directors, Mr. Smith & Ms. Krolikowski. Congratulations to all of our performers for representing our school with excellence both on and off the stage!

Big shoutout to both our softball and baseball teams on their big wins today in their final home games of the season!! ⚾️🥎 What a way to close out the home schedule — we are so proud of all the hard work, dedication, and heart these athletes have shown all season long. Our next Staff Shout Out brings us to City Hill Middle School to celebrate one of our incredible Special Education teachers, Mr. Walker!

"My grandson requires specific needs. He resides with me, and I am new to this world. Not only has Mr. Walker taken time out of his own schedule to return calls, respond to emails, or find out answers to my questions that I ask, he's taught my grandson and I how to belong in the world of special needs. For being the human being that truly cares for his students, I nominate him!"
