The current page was set up by previous admin with intent to be a sole POC for facilitating light/fence repairs, commons area lawn care, etc. The admin was also the only person who could post on main page. Evening,
Wildlife is active per usual. My dog scuffled w/an Armadillo, and my neighbor’s dog just chased a Cottonmouth in the backyard. Keep your eyes peeled especially in the high grass areas or areas you keep clutter.

“The Zoning Board made a recommendation to approve the rezoning with the following conditions: the zoning be changed to R2(Medium Density Residential) and the future land use not be amended.“

Good evening all,

I hope everyone is well considering recent events in our country. Some are mentally taxed, on edge, or exhausted. If/when you feel the need to redirect focus—you can read the next few lines here on a recent development near our Cottages community.

You may’ve seen the zoning sign outside our entrance. From my understanding, a complex may be built there for 18x dwelling units (as referred to me). I’m not sure if it’s going to be apartments or what. Supposedly the land there is swamp/wet lands, but allegedly someone is slowly clearing shrubs/trees to expose sunlight and steadily dry the land to gain approval for build.

The zone meeting is JUNE 11th, 6pm @ Santa Rosa County Administrative Complex in the Commissioners Board Room:

Hey all,

Good time had w/some neighbors tackling the front entrance. Sprinklers fixed, fence lines cleaned up, and bushes/trees trimmed. If anyone else wants to help, there’s no need to coordinate—just go for it, and let us know here what else could/would need touch up. Helps us hold onto the little funds we have to contract the work this summer.

**DONATIONS**
Anyone who contributed via check—those checks will be deposited on Monday 18, MAY. I had been waiting to see if we’d receive more checks before I go into the bank drive thru line. Currently have 7x donations.

**ENTRANCE**
Josh got the sprinklers going for us yesterday and we’ll be fixing the three broken sprinklers NLT this weekend. Looking to hire lawn care next month with rising temps coming. Lastly, the fence along the fence will start coming down next week.

Hi neighbors,

ENTRANCE
As for mowing rotations until June/July—I’m not looking to make a spreadsheet or schedule. Rather have it ad hoc & volunteer. If you see high grass and wanna throw down then feel free. I mowed it last weekend after Josh, so we should be good another weekend or two. Once June temps hit, we’ll hire a company to mow.

DONATIONS
We’re up to 5, but I did hear from an owner that he and others are not on the FB page. Those said they’re interested in donating. I’ll push another flyer out with donation information on mailboxes, and will be safe w/usage of gloves for everyone. **Im COVID free**

Good afternoon,

Today starts donations for our neighborhood! So far we have 4x donations. The amount is $100 and covers entire year of: front entrance lawncare w/tree & brush trimming, lights & water, as well as maintenance around the neighborhood, e.g., broken fences/posts, broken sprinklers, tree replacement.

Last year was the lowest amount the neighborhood received but we made the above happen on a minimalist level. For example, posts were replaced here and there upon/next to degraded ones, as well as volunteers maintaining the lawn until it got too hot. Depending the amount this year, we may modify the light/water schedule and so on.

Morning all,

Some of our neighbors volunteered to clean up the entrance. Thank you, gents! If anyone wants to help us mow then bring your mower and throw down anytime. This will help replenish & maintain funding for our neighborhood.

Donations start next week, 1 APR, as prev mentioned. However, you can donate early if you’d like. Donation target is $100 each home if/when able, and that covers entire year.

Good evening all,

The neighborhood yard sale this 21st MAR Saturday will be at your discretion due COVID-19. I’m not a business, nor do I own anything of the Cottages other than my home, so I take no liability if you or your fam contract the virus during the yard sale. I merely facilitate interest in community events (neighbors reaching out to me), and I facilitate funding of area repairs via donations. With that said, I would advise against it, and many in the neighborhood being military are under squadron-directed orders to minimize contact & travel.

Additionally, rain is forecasted. Setup time will still be the same if you choose to partake. Stay safe out there everyone.
