It’s about time to get the Navarre Community Garden up and running! We need to do a cleanup and our goal is to put in raised beds this year. We have received a donation from Real Deals (thank you!) to start us off, but will need some more along with soil and plants.🌱 🌻

The garden is located down the alley next to Rise Up Cafe by Main Street Deli.

NOW HIRING – Water Treatment Plant Operator

The Village of Navarre is accepting applications for a Water Treatment Plant Operator.

Pay: $20.70-$31.35 per hour depending on job title, certification and experience
Shift: Day shift
Application Deadline: May 8, 2026

Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Ohio driver’s license
• Ability to obtain Ohio EPA water operator license
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends and be on call when needed

The Navarre Water Department will be flushing water hydrants beginning April 7 and continuing through April 9, weather permitting. Hydrant flushing will start at the north end of town and continue until all are flushed. Some discoloration of water may be noticed. Allowing water to run a short while should correct the problem.

Great news: our yard waste site has reopened with new security cameras monitoring 24/7! Here are the rules:
1. Yard waste site is ONLY available to residents of the Village of Navarre.
2. No commercial use.
3. No bags.
4. No stumps or logs.

Please help us keep this resource available by following the rules. Thanks!

Unfortunately, due to irresponsible and unlawful usage, the Village is closing access to the yard waste site until further notice. These facilities are not and have never been intended for commercial or non-resident dumping. We’re currently working on solutions that will secure the area and permit resident use to resume.
