Just finished another episode of the Fallout series, and this thought finally hit me.
I get it. He’s the main character.
But at this point the Ghoul has basically been everywhere.
He saw everything first.
Met everyone first.
Knew House before it was cool.
Ran into the Deathclaws before they were scary.
Now he accidentally kick-started a war.
At this rate next season we’ll learn that:
he whispered the idea of the Enclave into someone’s ear
suggested nuking Shady Sands “as a prank”
and personally taught Vault-Tec how to f**k everything up
I like the character. I really do.
But we’re one step away from him being present at the Big Bang, holding a Nuka-Cola.
There’s a fine line between
“a survivor who’s seen some sh*t”
and
“the Forrest Gump of the Wasteland.”
Still works.
Still better than a squeaky-clean hero.
Just… let the world exist without him secretly causing every major historical event.

You know what pi**es me off?
People who never played OG Fallout 2, but pretend they did. They watched a couple of YouTubers and swallowed the idea that Fallout 2 is just wacky jokes and dumb humor.
It’s not.
That’s what happens when fandom IQ drops and people can’t tell the difference between easter eggs and the actual tone of the game. A joke shows up and suddenly they think the whole game is a meme.
The truth is: Fallout 2 is darker than Fallout 1.
Slavery.
Human trafficking.
R**e implied in the background.
Kids getting shot.
Moral rot everywhere.
Yes, there’s humor.
But it’s black humor used as contrast, not the core identity of the game. If someone thinks Fallout 2 is a “funny goofy game”, they either didn’t play it or didn’t understand it.
Most of the time?
They just watched a YouTube summary and now cosplay as a veteran.
