Fall isn’t just about pumpkin spice, leaves falling, and trick-or-treat. It’s about municipal government rolling up their sleeves to deliver a budget for the following year!

At last night’s Lower Nazareth Township Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board was presented a ZERO TAX INCREASE budget that maintains all the levels of service our constituents are expecting.

Funding remains in place for parks, police, fire, public works, recycling, and the library. The Board also received a recommendation on next year’s paving project - Lexington, Concord, Brandywine, James, King George and Country Club Rd from Newburg to Hollo.

The final budget will be considered for advertisement at the November 12th meeting with potential adoption at the December meeting.

The Lower Nazareth Township Board of Supervisors thanks and congratulates Michael Lucas of Troop 76 for the wonderful job he did on his Eagle Scout project.

Michael chose to create an outdoor space for our paramedics at their building on Hanoverville Road. We’re sure this young man’s hard work will be appreciated for many years by the EMS personnel that work there.

Thank you, Michael! It looks sharp!

In Lower Nazareth, we wouldn’t miss this great Halloween tradition! A huge thanks to our Public Works guys, Tommy, Todd, Eric, and Mike, for representing the Township and making a lot of kids happy as you littered the streets with candy 🍭 🍫🍬🍭💛

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention one of the greatest fire companies in Northampton County! Hecktown Volunteer Fire Company was cruising down the parade route in style! 🔥🚒❤️.

Thank you Vigilance Hose for another great parade!

Grace Industries completed the storm water pipe replacement at the intersection of Hecktown and Butztown Roads. This work was accomplished quickly thanks to the crew working during the evening hours.

The night work is not over just yet. Starting on Monday, October 20th, night work will resume for the purpose of trench restoration. Hecktown Road will be closed at Country Club Road except to local traffic. Residents that use Hecktown Road to access their residential subdivision, will still be able to do so. It is anticipated that the trench restoration will take less than one week to accomplish.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

The Butztown Road Realignment project is progressing nicely! This project will ultimately create a safer intersection! The completed project will also have all the existing stormwater pipes replaced and a fresh paved road from Rt. 191 to the Bethlehem Township line.

As a reminder, the night work is scheduled October 12th through October 17th from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. The work involves stormwater pipe replacement at the intersection of Butztown and Hecktown Rd.

This $1,365,000 project is being paid for by a $725,000 grant through PA Commonwealth Financing Authority and the remainder is being paid out of the Traffic Impact Fee account. Therefore, zero Township tax dollars are being used for this project!

Many of you that use 306 Butztown Rd for your polling location, please be assured, the road will be open on November 4th for you to access the voting booth! We will get you in and out of there safely!
