Early voting continues this week from 8am-5pm and this Thursday and Friday from 7am-7pm. October 31st we will have sausage wraps, chips, and water for voters who present their I voted stickers from 11am-2pm. Election Day is November 4th. Location- Castro County Courthouse.

Water Restrictions
Instead of increasing water rates at this time we are going to try some restrictions first. We will be discussing rate increase and restrictions again July 21st at 8 a.m. We would like to try the following schedule. (Evens and Odds refer to your house number.)

PLEASE only water from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Monday- Odds
Tuesday- Evens
Wednesday- No Watering
Thursday- Odds
Friday- Evens
Saturday- Odds
Sunday- Evens

Our wells have been running for 24 hours straight. If we continue to use water at this rate, we will be forced to implement VERY STRICT water restrictions, as some of our neighboring towns have. At the current rate of water usage, the overhead tank and the ground storage tank can't catch up. In four days, the city residents have used right at 1 million gallons of water. PLEASE only water from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
