Individual Volunteer Opportunities
* Resident Escorts - Assist our residents to get to appointments within the facility. Volunteers assist residents to get to activities, physical/occupational therapy appointments and to the Gracedale beauty shop. This is a great way to stay active and meet new people while doing it!
* Activity Helpers - There is always plenty going on at Gracedale and we invite
volunteers to join the fun! Volunteers work with our Therapeutic Recreation staff with activities including: bingo games, birthday parties, special dinners, holiday events, social gatherings, field trips and religious services.
* Clerical Support - Volunteers assist various departments with basic data entry, filing, labeling and mailings.
* One to One Visits - Gracedale values caring and compassion as we seek volunteers who enjoy visiting others. Volunteers visit residents while engaging in conversation, reading, letter writing and other positive interactions. Group Volunteer Opportunities
* Sponsor An Activity - Community groups are welcome to come in and sponsor an activity with our residents. An activity could be a bingo game, card game, crafts, a sing-a-long or any other interests a group may have.
* Sunday Worship Services - Gracedale hosts nondenominational worship services every Sunday at 10 AM. Visiting ministries are invited to lead our residents in a service including singing hymns and spreading a positive message. This is a great way to get your church's youth group involved in the community.
* Visitation Program - Interested groups can be assigned to one of our sixteen nursing units for occasional or seasonal visits. Group visits can include wishing happy birthday, bringing seasonal gifts, offering kind words or doing a small activity with the residents of your unit.
