Generous Gifts & Lasting Impact.👏🏽

Become an Annual Donor —> Help with day to day expenses so we can continue our mission to invest in people.

When you give to the Nebraska City Community Foundation Fund, you're investing in the people and opportunities that make our community stronger by supporting local initiatives that develop workforce skills, encouraging entrepreneurship and small business growth, providing leadership opportunities for youth, and improving the quality of life for our residents.

Unlike donations that fund a single project, your annual gift helps creates a lasting impact by supporting the ideas & community leaders who are shaping Nebraska City's future. Whether it's $10, $100, or more, every gift matters.

Together, we can continue building a community where future generations have the opportunity to succeed, lead, and call Nebraska City home.

Join us as an Annual Donor and be part of investing in the future of Nebraska City.

Yesterday members of NCCFF (Doug F, Denise D, Cory S, Lextyn H) had the opportunity to attend a peer learning session hosted by Seward County Legacy Fund in Seward, NE! 📍

In this session they explored the wonderful community & all of their assets like: The Wellness Center, 4-H/FFA Honor Exhibit, New turf ball fields, Chapters Book & Gift Store, and so much more!!

They also got a fresh set of ideas and understanding of how we can finish strong on our HomeGrown Grant Challenge & better promote NCCFF to all ages!!

What is The Nebraska City Community Foundation Fund❓

🌳💲When people think about investing in a community, they usually think about buildings, roads, or big construction projects. But here at NCCFF we want to focus on something even more important: the people who call Nebraska City home.

🎓💲 Since 2000, NCCFF has invested more than $6.5 million back into the community through scholarships, grants, youth programs, workforce development, leadership opportunities, and projects that continue to make Nebraska City a stronger community. We believe in creating opportunities for people to succeed in their own ways. We have helped adults return to school through scholarships for non-traditional students, and many of those individuals stayed in Nebraska City afterward, building careers, starting families, and continuing to give back to the community who gave them the courage to pursue their own path.

🏘️💲NCCFF has also supported local entrepreneurs and small businesses, helped provide equipment for first responders, updated technology in the library, improved youth activities like baseball, softball, and the skate park, and partnered in projects focused on breaking cycles of poverty.
These investments don’t just help one person: they create ripple effects throughout the entire community. NCCFF is about more than grants and funding. It’s about building a community where people feel connected, supported, and hopeful about the future.

When people feel supported, when families have opportunities, and when local businesses succeed, Nebraska City becomes a better place for everyone.

⭐️ New Member of the NCCFF! ⭐️

Hello my name is Lextyn Harker & I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve as Nebraska City’s 2026 Hometown Intern!!

⭐️ A little about me → I am the daughter of Shawn & Aimee Harker, both NCHS alumni. I was born and raised in Nebraska City and graduated from Nebraska City High School in 2025. I just completed my first year of college at Central Community College- Columbus, where I am working towards my Associates of Applied Science Degree in Agriculture Business. I also am on scholarship to play softball! Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family, fishing, playing pickleball and traveling! I also just adopted a black lab puppy named Boone & he keeps me on my toes! 🐾

⭐️ My role at NCCFF → A Hometown Intern works alongside their local affiliated funds on a mission to discover and unleash their community’s assets. I will be updating and posting on the NCCFF facebook and website and building connections with the great leaders of Nebraska City while promoting the hard work and dedication that these leaders have shown to benefit our community. Alongside other hometown interns across the state, we will also have a series of discussions that help us connect and reflect on our goals and accomplishments.

⭐️ My Goals for my Internship → My goal is to inform the city of Nebraska City about NCCFF and promote their generous programs via social media, newspress, radio ads etc. I also have some smaller projects with NCECBVI, the Memorial Building (Jim Kuhn) & Morton James Public Library that will be released soon!

I am so beyond excited to connect with my hometown and show you the wonderful assets of Nebraska City!!
