Please join us in welcoming the newest unit in our fleet.

This Ford F-350, equipped with a custom commercial work cap, will serve as the City’s rescue truck. It will respond to emergency medical calls, vehicle accidents, and a variety of other service needs throughout our community.

This unit replaces an older truck that experienced a catastrophic engine failure and had reached the end of its service life.

We invite all citizens and visitors to stop by and take a tour of the new Rescue 17.

City of Nederland officials are aware of the explosion and active incident at the Valero refinery in Port Arthur.
At this time, there is no impact to the City of Nederland. We are actively monitoring the situation. City officials will continue to assess developments and maintain situational awareness. The Police Department and Fire Department are actively patrolling and performing air monitoring on the south side of the city.
We encourage residents to rely on verified updates and avoid spreading unconfirmed information. If conditions change and there is any potential impact to our community, we will provide timely updates. Please keep those affected in your thoughts.
