One our favorite days of the year!!👏👏😀
Yesterday, Dream Big! proudly hosted our 11th Annual Dream Big! Leadership Conference at UMass Boston, bringing together 250 female student-athletes and their coaches from urban communities for a day filled with inspiration, empowerment, sports, and connection.

Our athletes had the opportunity to hear from eight extraordinary women—former athletes who have gone on to become amazing leaders and professionals in a wide range of fields. Each speaker shared powerful stories about the impact sports had on their lives, the colleges they attended, the challenges and obstacles they overcame, and the lessons they learned along the way to get to where they are today. Their message was clear: dream big, believe in yourself, follow your heart, and never let anyone tell you what you can or cannot achieve.

Throughout the day, loud cheers and enthusiastic applause filled the presentation rooms as athletes celebrated and connected with each speaker's story, creating an atmosphere of encouragement, empowerment, inspiration and hundreds of questions from the student athletes to the presenters.

Dream Big! would like to say a very special thank you to the following inspirational presenters:

Kate Ackerman, MD, MPH, FACSM, Co-Founder & Director, WHSP Institute
Mary Lou Bohn, President, Titleist Golf Division-Acushnet
Reshauna Cobb, Senior Associate Athletic Director, Boston College
Brianna Duncan, Software Engineer & Technical Associate, Liberty Mutual Insurance
Lucia Robinson-Griggs, Head Coach, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Women’sBasketball
Dr. Patty Raube Keller, Ed.D., Program Directorof the Masters of Sports Administration & Sports Analytics Program, Boston College
Katie McInerney, Sr Asst.Sports Editor, Boston Globe
Jammy Torres Millet, Community Marketing Manager, Boston Legacy FC

Another exciting moment of the day was our sports apparel and equipment distribution. In true “Oprah-style" fashion, every athlete received a piece of sports attire, athletic footwear or equipment to support her athletic journey. The joy, excitement, and gratitude in the room were unforgettable reminders of why we do this work—to ensure every girl has the resources, confidence, and support she needs to thrive both on and off the field, court or track.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our speakers, athletes, coaches, staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters who made this special day possible. Together, we are helping the next generation of young women build confidence, develop leadership skills, and see a future full of possibility. 💙🏆
