Needham Santa is working to fulfill the wish lists of about 70 children living in Needham whose families could use some help this holiday season. We are getting coats, gloves, school clothes, shoes, and of course, some toys. Will you buy a gift from the wish list (starting as little as $8.00) or donate to help us get the clothing needing (we shop locally for the clothing).

Needham Santa is delivering over 200 gifts to more than 70 local children this Christmas Eve. We need help reaching our goal and getting all the gift items.

Our Needham Santa program has collected it's wish-list items from families in Needham that could use some help this holiday season. Please help us help these families by shopping from our list of gift items (toys, dolls, bikes, etc). Every item on the list is specifically selected for a child living here in Needham. When you purchase it, it will drop ship to us. You can also help us give them clothing, shoes, coats, school clothes, etc. by donating to our goFundMe. Clothing items make up 2/3rds of the wish list items.

We will collect up all the items, wrap them and Santa himself will visit these families on Christmas Eve to deliver the gifts! Families who do not celebrate Christmas, donations are delivered separately. Last Christmas we gave over 200 gifts to more than 70 children!

GOOD NEWS! Registration opens tomorrow (Friday, 11/8) for the Gymnastics Varsity Workshop, a series of Saturday morning Gymnastics classes for the non-Olympians that focus on learning to love gymnastics. The classes held on Saturdays in December and January are taught by a local top gymnastics coach/judge and the athletes of the NHS Gymnastics Team. Classes fill quickly, some fill before noon, so don't forget ! www.needhamGymnastics.com

Our Santa's workshop is preparing gifts for children in need right here in Needham. We have an amazon wish list of items that will our Santas will deliver to Needham children on Christmas Eve. This holiday season, would you be able to help Children right here in Needham and Newton? NeedhamSanta.com collects a wish list of needed items such as hats, gloves, coats, shoes/sneakers, clothing, school supplies and of course, a special toy. We raise money, purchase the items, wrap them and have Santa himself deliver them to the homes on Christmas Eve. The smiles on the children's faces can never be forgotten!

It's time to sign-up for your Christmas Eve Santa Visit! Santa will come to your home (Needham only) on Christmas even between 5 and 7 pm and surprise your children with an early gift (that you provide in advance). The cost is only $15. Why? Because 20% of the homes Needham Santa visits are families in need. We raise money, purchase gifts and Santa delivers needed items and toys to families who may not otherwise be able to afford them. We have exciting news! The first step in bringing a skate/action park to Needham happens Monday night and we need your help! A budget item for preliminary design is an agenda item on the Needham Town Meeting. It is paired with the design of a pickleball court so fans of that sport will want to take action as well.

The warrant for the skate park and the pickleball courts is number 25 and it is proposed by the Needham Select Board. It is lumped in with a number of other capital budget items such as fleet replacement, a new generator for CATH, etc. Therefore it is easy to miss which is why we want to get the word out! The vote is also scheduled a little more than halfway through the agenda of 40 items so it could be taken up toward the end of the first night, or be delayed to night two, for those of you who would like to attend Town Meeting in person.

So what can YOU do to move this project forward? Contact your Town Meeting member who represents your precinct. If you don’t know who that is, there is a list of on the Needhamma.gov website and a form to contact your district rep - use this link https://www.needhamma.gov/FormCenter/Town-Manager-Forms-8/

Contact them in advance of Monday night and let them know that you want to see a skate/action park in Needham. Also reach out to family, friends, and other Needham voters and have them do the same.

So thankful that many of the children's wish list items have been purchased. Sending out a last call to ask if anyone can purchase from the Amazon wish list on this last day before we have to shut it down (or we won't get them in time ). All gifts purchased will be delivered to needy children in Needham by our Santa on Christmas Eve. We are getting gifts for 40 kids this year!

Needham Santa program is in need of more Santas!! Can you give your time from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Christmas Eve to deliver gifts around Needham? It's fun and very rewarding. Our Santas usually return year after year. We cannot take any more registrations unti we find more Santas. Can you help?
