Heads up Needham residents and visitors!

The Town is rolling out HotSpot, a mobile payment option that makes it easier to pay for metered parking in Needham Center and Needham Heights. The app will be fully operational by Friday, September 4.

The free HotSpot app allows drivers to pay for parking from their smartphones, receive reminders before their parking expires, and remotely add time to an active parking session (up to the Town’s 2-hour parking limit). Users can also access their parking history and receipts through the app.

To get started:

1️⃣ Download the HotSpot app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
2️⃣ Create an account
3️⃣ Add your vehicle and payment method
4️⃣ Enter the number displayed on the parking meter

Prefer to pay for parking with coins? No problem! As HotSpot is an additional payment option, the parking meters will continue to accept coins indefinitely. A $0.15 HotSpot transaction fee applies to each parking transaction, and credit card processing fees may also apply.

Learn more about HotSpot and view frequently asked questions at www.needhamma.gov/hotspot
