Today members trained on grain bin rescue and we were the recipient of a grain rescue tube through the special efforts of Nationwide and the National Education Center For Agricultural Safety. In addition to receiving this piece of life saving equipment, NECAS instructor Brian Freese led first responders from both Needmore and Imler Volunteer Fire Company through a multi-hour training session that included both classroom and hands-on learning. The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau serves as a sponsor for this program, which has resulted in more than 450 fire departments receiving tubes and training. Nineteen lives have been saved as a result.

We greatly appreciate the sponsors for this training and equipment!!

We would like to specifically thank Lonnie, Brad, and Logan at Pigeon Cove Farms. Pigeon Cove Farms is one of the largest dairy farms and custom farming operations in the area, their continued dedication and cooperation in training with the NVFC is second to none!
