We are seeking high speed Noncommissioned Officers and E-4s to become Drill Sergeants. There is potential to earn a $10,000 to $20,000 reenlistment bonus contingent on becoming a Drill Sergeant. As a Drill Sergeant you are responsible for coaching, counseling, and mentoring hundreds, if not thousands, of Soldiers as you transform them from a civilian to a combat-ready Soldier. Drill Sergeants are all your Soldiers know of the Army and they emulate everything you do. Being a Drill Sergeant is one of the most rewarding, demanding and difficult job in our Army. Just as you will always remember your drill sergeant, so will your Soldiers. It is up to you to provide a positive and rewarding experience as these young Soldiers begin their journey in the Army. Upon completion of Drill Sergeant School, you will receive Special Duty Assignment Pay of $300 a month. Qualifications:
• Be Physically Fit
– Maximum Profile Guide is 111221
– Meet HT/WT standard IAW AR 600-9
– Able to pass the APFT upon arrival
• 40+ years old must have medical clearance
• Have no record of emotional instability
• Have no speech impediment
• High school graduate or GED
• Minimum GT score of 100, Waivable to 90
• Warrior Leader Course (WLC) grad if not we’ll send to WLC
• Display good military bearing
• Minimum of 4 years time in service
• ALL DSCs will have a thorough background screening prior to reporting to DSS
