πŸ’š As we head into Memorial Day weekend, Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder to check in β€” not just with others, but with ourselves too.

Long weekends can bring rest and connection for many, but they can also feel stressful, lonely, overwhelming, or emotionally heavy for others. Grief, burnout, anxiety, and mental health struggles are not always visible.

This weekend, consider taking a moment to:
βœ” Reach out to someone you care about
βœ” Take a break when you need one
βœ” Spend time outdoors or with supportive people
βœ” Give yourself permission to rest
βœ” Ask for help if you’re struggling

Supporting mental well-being is an important part of building a healthier community for everyone.

If you or someone you know needs support:
πŸ“ž Dial or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline
πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Veterans can press 1 after dialing 988 to connect directly with the Veterans Crisis Line

Wishing our community a safe and healthy holiday weekend. πŸ’š

🀱 Early support during pregnancy can make a lasting difference for both parent and baby.

The Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP) helps connect pregnant individuals and families with education, support, care coordination, and community resources early in pregnancy.

Early referrals can help:
βœ… Improve maternal and infant health outcomes
βœ… Identify risks earlier
βœ… Connect families with supportive services sooner

If you or someone you know may benefit from MIHP services, referrals can be made through the Marquette County Health Department.
