Tap dancing to a creative tune! Mia was a trooper yesterday, spending all day at the fair with me! And all my money $ on snacks and treasures!

Campaigning is very glamorous. 😂

Back at it for another day at the Cass County Fair! We’re restocked, rearing to go, and the buckets are full again. The Cass County Favorites raffle basket is restocked too, so make sure you stop by and get your name in!

Somewhere between refilling buckets, talking Treasurer’s Office, and apparently reclining in a camp chair with a hamburger blanket 😂, I’ve gotten to do my favorite part of all of this — connect with people one-on-one.

That’s what this campaign has always been about for me. Not just signs, flyers, or a name on a ballot. It’s getting out into the community, having real conversations, listening to your ideas, answering your questions, and getting to know the people I hope to serve.

It’s a beautiful morning here in Weeping Water, and I’m ready for another great day. ❤️

Come find me! I’ll be the one looking extremely official. 😎

🌧️ Fair weather is keeping us on our toes today!

I came prepared with a hoodie… and honestly, this weather is a little more my speed than 95° and humid. 🍂

If you’re making your way to the Cass County Fair today, stop by my booth and say hello!

🎉 Don’t forget to enter my Cass County Favorites Basket Giveaway! I filled it with products and items from local Cass County businesses because supporting our local communities has always been important to me.

We’ve also got insurance card holders, candy, stickers for the kids, and Gertrude is ready to welcome visitors. 🪿

Stay dry, enjoy the fair, and maybe treat yourself to a funnel cake while you’re here! 😊

Some people campaign in suits.

I’ll probably always campaign in dusty sandals, a t-shirt, and wherever Cass County takes me.

This is home.

It’s the gravel roads I grew up on, the cornfields that mark the seasons, and the communities that make this county such a special place to raise a family.

Thanks for following along on this journey. ❤️

Customer service isn’t just about processing transactions.

It’s about listening, treating people with respect, and making sure every person who walks through the door feels heard.

No matter why someone comes into the Treasurer’s Office, they deserve professionalism, patience, and kindness.

That’s the kind of service I believe in, and the kind of office I’d strive to lead.

Have a wonderful weekend, Cass County! ❤️

Confession time… 😅

Summer and I have a complicated relationship.

When the temperature skyrockets, my attitude plummets. 😅

So needless to say, I didn’t venture too far from a fan this weekend. We ran to The Bean Bank Coffee House to try their new iced coffee, and snagged a cinny roll from Sourdough on Second while we were there. Then right back home to not be hot.🥵

I’m saving all my sweating for the Cass County Fair next month. Until then you will find me in the AC.

Give me crisp mornings, hoodies, changing leaves, and all things pumpkin, and I’m one happy girl, because Autumn is where it’s at. 🍂 😉

What about you? Tell me why!

This weekend was all about enjoying a few of the things that make Cass County feel like home.

Yesterday, we spent the morning treasure hunting at garage sales before making a stop at Baker's Candies —Nebraska’s largest candy outlet, right here in Cass County. 🍫 We may have sampled a little chocolate, drank a little Kool-Aid, picked up a few treats, and even found some fair-themed goodies for my raffle basket at the Cass County Fair!

It’s also not a good weekend without one of my other locally made favorites-a strawberry cream cheese sourdough loaf from Bert's Bread! Made right here in Nehawka! If you haven’t tried it yet… you’re missing out. It’s my absolute favorite! 🍓🍞

This morning, Dad and I headed to breakfast at the American Legion Post No. 237 Weeping Water, NE. Dad got biscuits and gravy, I had pancakes. Both got two thumbs up! 👍🏻 👍🏻

The sweetest part? The gentleman, Wes, making pancakes went to school with my dad and surprised us by making a Mickey Mouse pancake to-go for my youngest, who was still cozy in bed. Needless to say, it made her morning. ❤️

Weekends like this remind me just how many wonderful people, traditions, and small businesses make Cass County such a special place to call home.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! What did you do this weekend?
