September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month! If you've been thinking about getting a library card, but haven't popped by yet, this is a great month to do it. All you need is an ID and proof of address.

Did you know? ANYONE with a residence in Wisconsin (except Milwaukee County) can get a library card from the Lester Public Library of Rome. This will get you access to check out physical materials from our library as part of the Wisconsin Library Consortium. Our state is pretty neat when it comes to librariesđź“–

Get ready to set sail into a month of reading fun at the library! Throughout September, play Book Battleship every time you check out a book/books. For every time you check out a book or multiple books, you get 1 guess on our Battleship game board. Pick a spot and see if you get a HIT! If you hit a ship, you win a treat! The more you read, the more chances you have to find the ships. Stop at the library in September and see if you can sink a ship!

It's time to unveil the fall library event calendar! Don't miss out on annual favorites, like the yearly Friends of the Library Book Sale or Scarecrow Walk. We've also got some new programs, including Book Battleship and an Art Supply Swap. There's sure to be something for everyone at the library!

It emphasizes pest prevention and reduces use of harsh chemicals. This is a drop-in event, and there is no registration required.

We are excited to have Dinosaurs and Unicorns with Adams County 4-H join us on Monday August 10th @ 10 a.m.
With S.T.E.A.M. and storytelling, kids will explore the world of dinosaurs and unicorns. Youth of all ages are welcome to this program, although it is geared towards kindergarten- 2nd grade. Registration is required.

We'll be popping up at the Rome Farmers Market on July 31st, from 9:30am-1pm (unless it rains... books and rain do not mix well)! Just like at the library, you can check materials out with your library card, return library materials, or get a new library card. Make sure to stop by and say hello!
