📢 John Maxwell, an American author who often focused on leadership, once said: “The pessimist complains about the wind. The optimist expects it to change. The leader adjusts the sails.”
🔹 Everything we have worked tirelessly for in this campaign will come down to November 5th, 2019.
🔹 I believe I have provided a thorough plan for our department and community, with more to come. As your Sheriff, I will ensure that our plan is accomplished. We will form a strong command staff in the department, to ensure our plans and goals are executed, decided amongst our team.
📢 Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States believed: “The supreme quality for leadership is unquestionably integrity. Without it, no real success is possible, no matter whether it is on a section gang, a football field, in an army, or in an office.”
🔹 If you give me the opportunity to serve as your Sheriff, I will not be afraid to set the moral compass, even when it is unpopular. As I stated early on in my campaign, transparency is a top goal of mine for our office. I know that not every decision or circumstance that arises will be easy to determine. What I can promise, is that I will give my best to this county as your Sheriff. I will uphold our morals, values, and laws.
🔹 I will remain approachable, as we are all working together to build & better our community, and in doing so we must come together. I want to continue hearing your thoughts and concerns, and not just during election season.
🔹 I ask you, the citizens of Nelson County, to simply vote. No matter who it is for, no matter what party you identify with - every vote counts. Every vote greatly appreciated by those who have campaigned for months, or even years, leading up to Election Day.
🔹 Lastly, I ask that you also consider voting for myself, Daniel “Danny” Jones, as your next Sheriff of Nelson County. Thank you for your support and consideration of our campaign, and I hope to have the opportunity to serve our great county of Nelson even further after next week.
