Though storms are expected to stay more isolated rather than widespread tonight, any storm that does develop will have the potential to become severe. The primary concern will be large hail up to the size of Ping Pong Balls with thunderstorm wind gusts near 60 MPH.

4/9 12:55 PM CDT: Severe thunderstorms capable of producing scattered large hail and severe wind gusts are expected late this afternoon and evening across parts of Kansas, southeast Nebraska, and northwest Missouri. Isolated severe thunderstorms may also occur across portions of the south-central High Plains.

There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms on both Wednesday and Thursday, mainly for areas near and south of the state line. The primary threats are large hail and damaging wind gusts.
