Newton County Mo Emergency Management Our primary goal is to minimize the loss of life or injury and protect property in the event of a man-made or natural disaster.

We hope to achieve this through planning, preparing, response, and recovery efforts. We strive to help the citizens of Newton County to prepare for and cope with any type of emergency. We provide assistance and support to local communities, organizations, and regional agencies in the event of an emergency.

Neosho Recycle Center Closed Saturday, May 30th
The Neosho Recycle Center will be closed on Saturday, May 30.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Residents are encouraged to plan recycling drop-offs accordingly. Regular operating hours will resume on Monday, June 1st.

At 1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, May 30 & 31, park staff will present “The Jesup Wagon”! When the farmers couldn’t go to Tuskegee Institute because it was too far, the Tuskegee Institute Jesup Wagon went to them. Learn how George Washington Carver helped design and encouraged the use of this mobile demonstration “classroom” and its impact.
