Evacuation orders are still in place due to on going potential fire threats. Until the fire crews establish full containment around the borders of
Eureka the evacuation order will stay in place.

We would like to inform you no residential structures were lost. We will continue to keep you informed as Fire Crews give updates.

50 years of leadership, mentorship, and helping advance EMS across Utah.

During EMS Week, Juab County EMS had the incredible opportunity to recognize and celebrate Chris Neilsen for a career that few will ever match. Chris has worn many "hats" in countless roles throughout the years, dedicating his time, knowledge, and leadership to strengthening EMS for our community and for future generations of providers.

A career measured in decades is also measured in lives touched. Thousands of patients cared for. Countless providers mentored. Programs improved. Difficult calls answered. Long nights away from home. Chris’s impact reaches far beyond the ambulance and will continue to influence EMS long after his final shift.

We also want to recognize and thank Chris’s family. Fifty years of service does not happen without sacrifice at home. Thank you for the support, patience, love, and countless missed holidays, interrupted dinners, and sleepless nights that come with a life devoted to emergency service. Your sacrifice has helped make this legacy possible.

Thank you to our Juab County EMS crews, Commissioner Marv Kenison, Commissioner Marty Palmer, and Dan Camp from the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services for joining us in honoring Chris and celebrating this incredible milestone. Your presence helped make the evening even more meaningful as we reflected on a lifetime of service and leadership.

While Chris may not be hanging up the radio quite yet, his legacy is already firmly established. The standard he has set for service, dedication, and leadership will live on for years to come.
