Well…first day of school was a great day and a test run for us all.
So…here are a few things we want to remind parents, students, and members of the community about:
1- 🏎️ NASCAR drivers are not needed to get everyone where they need to be before or after school. Slow down, for your safety and the safety of ALL students. Most roads in Nephi have a speed limit of 25 mph.
2- 💃Dancing across school crosswalk zones are welcome as long as it’s your turn as a pedestrian, but forced dancing from dodging cars is well—illegal. Watch out for students AND the crossing guards. STOP both directions until everyone is out of the crosswalk, no matter your direction.
3-🚔 Crossing guards are a valuable resource in this community please help do your part by watching out for them. Slow down, protect them by obeying traffic laws. No joke this is a really dangerous job.
4-📱We were cool before the schools were by banning cell phones. NO DISTRACTED driving! No texting. No games. No phone calls are worth the risk. Visit later, drive without distractions and everyone will thank you!
5- 🛑 Stop signs are NOT a suggestion. Please come to a complete stop, don’t roll through them that’s when accidents occur.
6- 🚌 BUSES have stop signs! They are equipped with stop sign for a reason. Don’t go around, don’t speed through the zone—STOP. It’s the law!
