๐Ÿ›น๐Ÿšจ Big day in Neptune Beach!

Today, professional skateboarder Chad Caruso is completing his historic coast-to-coast skateboard journey โ€” a Guinness World Record attempt covering nearly 2,500 miles from Venice Beach, CA to Neptune Beach, FL!

After 39 days on the board, Chad is expected to arrive in Neptune Beach this afternoon. Heโ€™s raising awareness for youth mental health and addiction prevention while supporting Natural High - and doing it all 10 years sober. What an inspiration!

Weโ€™re proud to provide a police es**rt for his final leg, starting at the Intracoastal Waterway on Atlantic Blvd and ending at the Neptune Beach Lifeguard Station.

Mayor Cori Bylund will officially welcome Chad and present a city proclamation.

The public is invited to come out and cheer him on!

Effective immediately, the burn ban has been lifted in Duval County.

Recent rainfall has helped improve conditions and reduce wildfire danger across Northeast Florida. While drought conditions still remain, fire danger is currently low and JFRD will continue monitoring fire weather closely.

Please remember that lifting the burn ban does not change Jacksonvilleโ€™s year-round burning regulations. Open burning without a permit remains prohibited.

Thank you, Jacksonville, for your cooperation. For more information, visit JaxReady.com.
