July 2026 Arrest Blotter

On July 2, 2026, Patrolman Seunwoo Kim arrested a 20-year-old Asbury Park, NJ male for Trespassing. The male was taken into custody, processed, and ultimately released pending a future court date. Ptl. Kim was assisted by Detective James VanEtten, Patrolman Zachary Campbell, and Patrolman Matthew Edwards.

On July 2, 2026, Patrolman Seunwoo Kim arrested a 20-year-old Asbury Park, NJ male for Trespassing and Stalking. The male was taken into custody, processed, and ultimately committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Ptl. Kim was assisted by Patrolman Zachary Campbell and Patrolman Matthew Edwards.

On July 4, 2026, Patrolman Seunwoo Kim arrested a 58-year-old Long Branch male for Possession of CDS, subsequent to a Field Contact. The male was taken into custody, processed, and ultimately released pending a future court date. Ptl. Kim was assisted by Lieutenant Michael Vollbrecht, Patrolman Zachary Campbell, Patrolman Christopher VanBrunt, and Patrolman Cole Emmons.

On July 4, 2026, Patrolman Seunwoo Kim arrested a 64-year-old Long Branch male for Possession of CDS, subsequent to a Field Contact. The male was taken into custody, processed, and ultimately released pending a future court date. Ptl. Kim was assisted by Lieutenant Michael Vollbrecht, Patrolman Zachary Campbell, Patrolman Christopher VanBrunt, and Patrolman Cole Emmons.

On July 5, 2025, Patrolman Cole Emmons arrested a 20-year-old Rumson, NJ male at Pete and Eldas, for misrepresentation of age. The subject was taken into custody and ultimately released on a Summons, pending a future court date.

On July 9, 2026, Patrolman Christopher VanBrunt arrested a 54-year-old Pt. Pleasant male for Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, subsequent to a motor vehicle stop. The male was taken into custody, processed, and ultimately released pending a future court date. Ptl. VanBrunt was assisted by Sergeant Andrew Hallgring and Patrolman Zachary Veitch.

On July 9, 2026, Patrolman Christopher VanBrunt arrested a 47-year-old Pt. Pleasant female for Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, subsequent to a motor vehicle stop. The male was taken into custody, processed, and ultimately released pending a future court date. Ptl. VanBrunt was assisted by Sergeant Andrew Hallgring and Patrolman Zachary Veitch.

On July 11, 2026, Patrolman John Flanagan arrested a 66-year-old Asbury Park male for Shoplifting from Max's Beer Wine and Liquor. The subject was taken into custody, processed, and ultimately released pending a future court date. Ptl. Flanagan was assisted by Sergeant Janell Pyzik.

On July 11, 2026, Patrolman Seunwoo Kim arrested a 35-year-old Ewing, NJ male who had an active warrant for his arrest. The male was taken into custody, processed, and ultimately released pending a future court date. Ptl. Kim was assisted by Sergeant Thomas Holmstedt.

On July 12, 2026, Patrolman Seunwoo Kim arrested a 20-year-old Linden NJ male for Disorderly Conduct, Obstruction, and Resisting Arrest. The male was taken into custody, processed and ultimately released pending a future court date. Ptl. Kim was assisted by Sergeant Thomas Holmstedt and Patrolman Matthew Edwards.

On July 12, 2026, Sergeant Thomas Holmstedt arrested a 21-year-old Linden NJ female for Disorderly Conduct. The female was taken into custody, processed and ultimately released pending a future court date. Sgt. Holmstedt was assisted by Patrolman Matthew Edwards and Patrolman Seunwoo Kim.

On July 16, 2026, Patrolman Christopher Devlin arrested a 60-year-old Wall Township male for Possession of CDS. The male was taken into custody, processed and ultimately released pending a future court date. Ptl. Devlin was assisted by Patrolman Adam Hubeny.

On July 19, 2026, Patrolman Cole Emmons arrested an 18-year-old Wall Township male for Possession of a False Government Document. The male was taken into custody, processed and ultimately released pending a future court date. Ptl. Emmons was assisted by Patrolman Zachary Campbell.

On July 25, 2026, Patrolman Christopher Devlin arrested a 34-year-old Hamilton, NJ male who had an active warrant for his arrest. The male was taken into custody, processed and ultimately released pending a future court date. Ptl. Devlin was assisted by Patrolman Seunwoo Kim.

On July 26, 2026, Sergeant Thomas Holmstedt arrested a 28-year-old Englishtown, NJ male for Driving While Intoxicated. The male was taken into custody, processed and ultimately released in accordance with John’s Law. Sgt. Holmstedt was assisted by Patrolman Christopher Devlin.

On July 29, 2026, Patrolman Adam Hubeny arrested a 56-year-old West Keansburg male who had an active warrant for his arrest. The male was taken into custody, processed and ultimately turned over to the Hazlet Police Department. Ptl. Hubeny was assisted by Patrolman Christopher VanBrunt and Patrolman Zachary Veitch.

Despite these charges, all subjects are presumed innocent, until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

It is with profound sadness that we join our public safety partners across New Jersey in mourning the loss of Neptune Township EMS Chief William “Bil” Rosen.

Chief Rosen dedicated countless years of service to the communities and people of our state, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to others. While the void created by his passing can never truly be filled, the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the impact he made will endure for generations.

Our heartfelt condolences are extended to Bil’s wife, son, family, friends, and colleagues he served with during this incredibly difficult time. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.

State Route 35 between 3rd Ave and 4th Ave is closed to all traffic for a motor vehicle accident investigation. There is no estimated timeframe for reopening at this time.

We're a little more than two weeks away from National Night Out, on Tuesday August 4, 2026 from 5pm-8pm, at Memorial Park. We look forward to seeing our residents and business owners at this great annual community event. We'll have Live Music, Classic Car Show, Face Painting, Balloon Animals, Dance Party, Pizza Eating and Ice Cream Eating contests... what more could you ask for on a Tuesday night!!

Dear Residents, Business Owners, and Visitors:

We are aware of recent social media comments suggesting that the Neptune City Police Department is only open Monday through Thursday, or is not staffed at all times. We would like to clarify how our services operate.

The Neptune City Police Department is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year… To Be Clear, Neptune City Police Officers are ALWAYS on duty. Whether they’re patrolling throughout the Borough or working inside Police Headquarters completing reports and performing other official duties, they remain available to respond to calls for service and assist the public at all times.

In 2011, the Borough transitioned emergency dispatch services - for Police, Fire, EMS, and OEM, to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center. Previously, dispatching was handled by civilian dispatchers inside Police Headquarters. Today, visitors to Police Headquarters can use the direct telephone in the lobby to connect immediately with a Monmouth County dispatcher. The dispatcher will then notify one of the on-duty Neptune City Police Officers, who will respond to Headquarters to assist you.

This process is fundamentally the same as it was before 2011. The only difference is that the dispatcher is located at the Monmouth County Communications Center instead of inside our building. This regional dispatch model reduces costs while maintaining uninterrupted police services for our community.

Residents can continue to call 9-1-1 for emergencies or 732-775-1615 for non-emergency police assistance. An on-duty officer or officers, will respond wherever assistance is needed.

Please note that the “Monday through Thursday” office hours apply only to our civilian Records Bureau, which handles administrative functions like records requests in accordance with the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA). These hours do not affect the availability of police operations.

The Neptune City Police Department has proudly served the Borough since 1881. While many aspects of policing have evolved over the years, our commitment to providing professional, around-the-clock service has not.
