We are incredibly grateful to the Neptune City Police Department for including our Woodrow Wilson students in the Torch Run benefiting Special Olympics!

This inspiring event gave our students the opportunity to be part of something bigger than themselves—celebrating inclusion, determination, and community spirit. Watching the Torch Run pass through our community was a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting athletes of all abilities and promoting acceptance for everyone.

Thank you to the officers and organizers who made this experience possible. We are proud to stand alongside you in supporting Special Olympics and the amazing athletes it serves.

Through their enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment to healthy living, our students not only raised money for a great cause but also embraced activities that promote heart health and wellness. From staying active to supporting one another, they showed what it means to make a positive impact both in our school and our community. The Annual Memorial Day Procession will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the area of W. Sylvania Avenue and Riverdale Avenue, concluding at Memorial Park. Immediately following the procession, the Memorial Day Ceremony will take place at Memorial Park at approximately 10:30 a.m.

As a reminder, and in the interest of public safety, W. Sylvania Avenue will be closed to ALL traffic between Springdale Avenue and SR-35 for the duration of the procession. All intersecting roadways along the W. Sylvania Avenue route will also be closed. In addition, Windsor Court and Riverview Avenue, along with their respective intersecting streets, will be closed during the procession.

All road closures will begin promptly at 9:45 a.m., with no exceptions. Roadways will reopen once the procession has concluded. If you need to travel during this time frame, please plan an alternate route or allow for additional travel time by departing earlier.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation, as we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
