Last week, Hackensack Meridian Health and Neptune Township High School hosted "Project Crash", a demonstration for high school seniors about making smart choices going into the prom season. This powerful awareness event scenario involved high school student actors as victims who had driven drunk and gotten into a serious motor vehicle crash. First responders arrived, extricated the victims, and transported them to a waiting helicopter to be taken for treatment. The goal of the event was to bring awareness to the dangers of drunk or impaired driving and the ramifications one decision can have on so many others.

This event was the result of a collaboration between Hackensack Meridian Health, the Neptune Township Board of Education, Neptune Township Police Department, Neptune Fire Department, Neptune Township Special Operations Rescue, Neptune Township EMS, and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. A special thank you to the student actors who portrayed victims for their efforts during this impactful event.
