Neptune Township EMS This is the official page of Neptune Township Emergency Medical Services, representing Paid and Volu PSOs are on everyday from 0600-1800 hours.

Neptune Township EMS represents the 3 volunteer squads and the Public Safety Officer Program (Paid division). Each volunteer squad is assigned to 2 shifts each week to cover the rest of the schedule. The volunteer squads include Squad 34-22 (Neptune First Aid), Squad 34-23 (Shark River Hills First Aid) and Squad 54-21 (Ocean Grove FD/First Aid). We handle approximately 5000 calls each year between

all divisions. Neptune EMS also performs vehicle extrication, water rescue, and hosts several NJ EMS Task Force Vehicles (MAB-2, ASAP-8, SOV-C).

Donating blood is safe and convenient when you are:
• In good health
• 17 years or older—16 with written parental consent/
permission (NY/NJ/PA forms available at nybc.org)
• Weigh at least 110 pounds*
• Completed course of antibiotics and free of infection
• Symptom-free for at least 72 hours following a cold or flu
• Symptom-free for 14 days following recovery from COVID-19,
a positive diagnostic test, or experienced symptoms
Some medical conditions/medications, recent tattoos, piercings, or travel may impact eligibility, but don’t presume you can’t give blood. For more information, please visit nybc.org or call 800.688.0900.

On Monday, June 15th, between 5:30PM and 8:00PM, the ANSWER Water Rescue Team will be conducting our annual exercise near the south end of Ocean Grove, on the beachfront. Emergency personnel, vehicles, and watercraft will be operating in the area. ***This is only a training exercise, please give our team space to operate.*** The ANSWER Team conducts an annual exercise to ensure we are prepared to protect those who visit the beaches and waterways in Avon, Bradley Beach, Neptune Township (Ocean Grove), Neptune City, and beyond.

Saturday 6/13 10:00AM - A large power outage is impacting several thousand residences and businesses in eastern Neptune Township, Ocean Grove and the surrounding area. Traffic lights along RT 33 are out, detours are in place and drivers should expect heavy traffic in the area. JCP&L currently has an expected restoration time of 12:30PM today.

This morning, the Neptune High School Law Enforcement JumpStart program students became certified in CPR (Heart Saver AED). Class was instructed by EMT Jeff Gold, Paramedic/Supervisor Tim Kortenhaus, and Chief Bil Rosen.

CPR is a valuable life-saving tool for people of all ages. Thanks to the class for coming to our classroom and spending your time with us!

NTEMS staff who are team members of Neptune Township Special Operations Rescue attended a full team exercise today on disaster hill.

Supervisor/ Paramedic Kortenhaus, Paramedic Kay and EMTs Camporeale and Rath operated on the “pile” and Chief Rosen acted as Safety Officer for the exercise.
