Spring is upon us and so it the lawn maintenance season. Please keep in mind that lawns should be kept at a length of less than 8 inches as indicated by ordinance 396-21B. We also ask that lawn clippings are not blown onto roadways or sidewalks and that if they are they are blown off as soon as possible. Lawn clippings on roadways create a safety hazard for motorcycle riders as the roadway becomes slippery.

**As of 2:15pm, Neshkoro Fire Chief Krueger has implemented a BURN BAN until further notice. No fires will be allowed in the village until this is lifted**

May the 4th be with you and not your fire.

Only You Can Prevent Wildfires...Across The Galaxy

The National Weather Service has indicated that due to the warm temperatures, low relative humidifier and breezy winds will combine to make for elevated fire weather conditions today.

How does this affect you?
If you live in the Village of Neshkoro , the fire chief is in charge of issuing a no burn ban. As of 2:05pm, May 4th, 2026, no such ban has been implemented. However we still as that if you intend on having a fire, make sure that it is well contained, not unattended, and later into the evening when the elevated risk dismisses.

In the event a burn ban was implemented it would be broadcast on the village Facebook profile. Be sure to follow this page for all news regarding events and reminders within the village.

If you live in the township, the DNR has suspended all burning permits today due to the very high fire danger creates by the above conditions.
