The Phillips Academy was conceived to fulfill a need in the homeschooling community. Having spent most of his professional career as a college mathematics professor, Dr. Phillips desired to reach a broader audience and help the students who need it most. The goal of the Academy is to provide a supportive environment for people frustrated with the public education system. We recognize the difficult

ies homeschooling families face when confronted with educating their children in mathematics. Dr. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Engineering Physics, a Master’s Degree in Mathematics, and a PhD in Mathematics Education. He is a former NASA rocket scientist and Princeton University research fellow. Dr. Phillips has over 25 years of teaching experience in the classroom, provides educational consulting to struggling families throughout the tri-state area, and serves as the advisor and coach to a team of award-winning national mathematics honor students. He is pleased to bring his talents to the homeschooling community.
