Not everyone has served in hostile territory, but VFW members have!! As a member of the largest combat Veterans’ organization, you can count on the same camaraderie you experienced in the military. At a time when Congress (including members of Congress who are themselves Veterans) wants to cut military and Veteran benefits, it is imperative for every eligible Veteran to add their support to the VF
W legislative agenda. The VFW has more to offer than an inexpensive beer. There are people who understand. There are people that actually want to hear what a Veteran has to say. There are people who can offer assistance with many issues. Equally as important, the benefits veterans enjoy today are not a Constitutional guarantee. They were secured by the legislative efforts of those Veterans who came before us. With the passing of our predecessors, it is incumbent upon younger Veterans (men and women) to be involved in the VFW; not only to be counted, but also to become the advocates for Veterans in the future and protect those benefits. As Commander of Post 2347 in Netcong, NJ, my goal is to have every eligible Veteran join the VFW. I invite you to come and visit our Post. We are open Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 3 pm to 9 pm.
