We're testing voting equipment now at our Ballot Processing Center in the Loma Rica Warehouse in Grass Valley as part of our preparations leading up to the Nov. 3 General Election.

Known as the "Logic & Accuracy Test," this test is open to the public and takes place before every election.

Community outreach is important to our Registrar of Voters Armando Salud-Ambriz. This week he spoke to students at both Nevada Union and Bear River high schools. Next week, he will speak at Truckee High.

He also was featured on KVMR 89.5FM & 105.1FM radio's "Sages Among Us" program, where he talked about growing up in a farm-working family in Northern California, his commitment to bringing transparency to the election process, his efforts to involve youth, the importance of remaining impartial in the role and more.

Our Registrar of Voters Armando Salud-Ambriz was one of just two representatives of the United States to to participate in the first-ever accredited international panel observing Sweden’s Sept. 13 election.

During the program Sept. 7-13, Salud-Ambriz participated in briefings and meetings with organizations including the Swedish Election Authority and Swedish Parliament. On Election Day, he observed the opening of a polling station and voting operations at five additional locations in Stockholm.
