Joe Wilson was raised on a Vernon County farm, near the heart of our County, Nevada, MO. Joe graduated from Nevada High School and continued his education at Missouri State University. After graduating from MSU, Joe worked in the Kansas City area until returning to his hometown with his wife of 39 years, Ronnette. Together, Ronnette and Joe have two grown children, Joshua and Jessica, and her spou
se David. Joe has been involved with Agriculture his entire life, giving him a deep appreciation for our country's biggest asset - farmers. Wilson is a very community involved man, being a Member of the First Baptist Church, a Member of the Nevada Elks Lodge #564, President of Balltown Cemetery, Past President of Drywood Crest Subdivision, Past President of the Hillsdale (KS) Water Quality Project, and Former 4-H Member and Leader. Joe has been a local business owner for many years, even residing as the President of the MO Nut Growers Association for a time. On top of all these accomplishments, Joe also boasts 10 years of Finance & Auditing experience and 20 years of commercial insurance sales. Joe is an earnest advocate for strong communities and job growth.
