Luke Spence Nevada City Council Ward 2 Representative

Luke Spence Nevada City Council Ward 2 Representative Luke is the representative from ward 2 for the Nevada City Council. Luke lives in Nevada with his wife Stephanie, a 2001 NHS graduate, and their three children.

He grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa and went to college in Dubuque. He has been an Airline Pilot for over 20 years and currently flies for United Airlines. Luke and his family attend Nevada Methodist Church and he enjoys assisting with his children's athletic teams. Luke is an avid sports fan. In addition to being a life long fan of the Chicago Cubs, he also cheers on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Indianapolis

Colts. He is an avid distance runner having completed several half marathons. When not outside he enjoys reading and has read a biography on every US President.

Nevada really pulled out all the stops for RAGBRAI!! Congrats to everyone involved in making it a great experience for all the riders and support staff. Courtney at Main St, Jennifer at NEDC, Mayor Condon, Administrator Cook, Chief Brandes, Joe at the Streets dept, Ray at the Fire dept, Rhonda at Parks and Rec, Shawn at the Water dept and all of their staff and the numerous volunteers who came out and made it a fun time for all!!

A Trunkline Rehabilitation Project is anticipated to start today along the City Trail system.
While all of the City Trail system will remain open for use, residents may encounter work vehicles on the trail.
We'd ask you to use caution when using the trail, go slower in places where you can't see as far ahead, and give plenty of space to workers so we can keep the trail open during this project.
At this time, we are uncertain how long the project will last.
