A Trunkline Rehabilitation Project is anticipated to start today along the City Trail system.
While all of the City Trail system will remain open for use, residents may encounter work vehicles on the trail.
We'd ask you to use caution when using the trail, go slower in places where you can't see as far ahead, and give plenty of space to workers so we can keep the trail open during this project.
At this time, we are uncertain how long the project will last.

Grant Opportunities Available! 💰

We are excited to announce THREE grants that have opened for local selection today!

Main Street Iowa's Challenge Grant is available to building owners in the Downtown District. Application is due June 1.

Main Street Iowa's Open 4 Business Grant is available to Businesses in the Downtown District. Application is due June 1.

Main Street Nevada's Facade Grant is open to building owners in Nevada. Application is due May 15.

There are restrictions on these grants, so please stop in to the Main Street Nevada office to learn more and talk about the project you have in mind.

TRAIL LOOP TO BE CLOSED TUESDAY, MARCH 24
The Nevada Parks and Rec Department plans to carry out the prescribed prairie burn on the trail loop at the west side of Nevada tomorrow, Tuesday, March 24, 2026, wind and weather conditions permitting.
Country Landscapes will carry out the work, which is expected to begin around late morning and go through late afternoon.
During this work, the trail loop will be closed to the public.
