Its that time of year again, the Floyd County Treasurers Office mailed out the 2023 pay 2024 Property Tax bills on April 9th.
Some of you may notice something missing from your bill, your Mortgage Deduction.
Starting 1/1/2023 the State of Indiana ELIMINATED the mortgage deduction. This meant that beginning January 1, 2023, individuals were no longer required to apply for this property tax deduction. Patrons who had the mortgage deduction will see it differently on the 2023 pay 2024 tax bill as it is now being combined with the Homestead Deduction.
An additional change you may see is there is no longer a rate listed as "Other" in Table #3 on your TS-1 form that is included with you remittance coupons, it is now listed more accurately as "Special Unit".

The Floyd county Auditor’s office will be closing at 2pm today and resuming its regular scheduled hours Tuesday May, 9th at 8am.

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023, all of the Floyd County Financial offices will close at 2pm and reopen Monday, November 28th.
