The next Library Board of Trustees Meeting will take place on Monday, June 1st at 5:30 PM at New Albany Central Library, located at 180 West Spring Street, New Albany, IN. Due to the anticipated attendance, the meeting has been moved to the upper level area to accommodate as many community members as possible.

The Floyd County Library is proud to host the Summer Meals Program for the 8th year in a row! 🎉🥪🍎All youth 0-18 years old can enjoy a FREE lunch at New Albany Central Library every weekday from 12-12:45 PM from June 1 - July 31. No registration is required. Just drop by!

Help us spread the word so people in our community can know about this wonderful program for children.

Take 30 minutes out of your morning to discover the benefits of mindfulness with the Mindfulness Mentors, a volunteer outreach group from the Earth and Spirit Center in Louisville. You will be introduced to simple mindfulness strategies and includes a guided meditation to help you relax and refocus.

In just two days, we’ll be unveiling our next exhibit REDEMPTION, featuring the artwork of Jaylin Stewart!
Jaylin already has a special place in our Floyd County Library family’s history, having painted the murals that adorn the Central Library branch’s annex building in 2020. Be sure to join us this Friday, May 22nd for our Opening Reception from 5-8 PM to see even more of Jaylin’s large scale murals, portraits and installations! Join the Floyd County Library's Indiana History Room staff for a historic walking tour at Fairview Cemetery this Wednesday, May 20 from 6–7 PM.

In honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence, the tour will highlight the five Revolutionary War veterans buried at Fairview Cemetery. Members of the Piankeshaw Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution will join us to pay our respects to those who gave themselves in service to the promise of America and all that it might become. 🇺🇸
