Another successful reception and Lincoln Day yesterday. Thank you to everyone who attended and thank you to Commissioner Al Knable for speaking to the group this year. Might be time for a bigger venue!

Josh Banet is the kind of steady, experienced leader Floyd County needs on the County Council.

A graduate of Floyd Central High School and Vincennes University, Josh has spent his life serving this community. He served 25 years with the Indiana State Police and now continues that service as a detective with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. His career in law enforcement has given him firsthand experience with public safety, budgeting, and the real challenges facing local government.

Josh has also given back through our schools and community. He served as Assistant Athletic Director and Athletic Director at St. Mary of the K***s, coached and mentored young athletes, and now serves as the golf coach at Borden High School. He is a parish member at St. Mary of the K***s and a past board member of the Borden Braves Foundation. Everywhere he’s been, he’s invested in helping young people and strengthening our community.

Josh and his wife, Clare, have raised their two children here in Floyd County. He understands what families expect from local government: safe communities, responsible spending, and common-sense leadership.

Josh Banet brings decades of public service, real-world experience, and a deep commitment to Floyd County. He will be a strong, reliable voice for taxpayers and families on the Floyd County Council. He has our complete and total endorsement!

We are so excited that County Clerk Danita Burks has filed to run for New Albany Township Trustee.

As Trustee, Danita Burks will bring proven leadership, strong financial management, and a deep commitment to serving the people of New Albany Township. She has shown time and again that she knows how to run an office efficiently, treat taxpayers with respect, and deliver results.

Danita understands that this role is about helping people when they need it most while also protecting every taxpayer dollar. Her experience, work ethic, and steady leadership make her the right choice for Trustee.

Danita Burks has our complete and total endorsement!

Floyd County is fortunate to have these three candidates and their unique experiences they each bring to the table. Now on to victory in November!
