Structure Fire Response

North Haven FD, Myrtle FD, and New Albany Rescue responded to a reported structure fire on County Road 75. First-arriving units reported smoke coming from the roof.

Crews quickly went to work locating the problem and taking care of the situation. Once the scene was under control, all units returned to service.

Great work by all three departments working together to keep our community safe!

Myrtle, North Haven, West Union, New Albany Rescue, and Baptist Priority EMS responded to a structure fire today in the Myrtle Fire district on county road 357. High temperatures and humidity made the response tough for personnel. Crews worked on an interior attack initially. Several firefighters were treated for dehydration and heat exhaustion on the scene. Multiple tankers shuttled water, and a firefighter rehab was set up. No injuries were reported to the residents or family pets.

County Fire Units from North Haven, Myrtle, and West Union are finishing up a shop fire close to the intersection of County Road 75 and 77. The fire hydrant was hooked to on County road 75 to provide water for the fire. The water in this area may be discolored due to this.
