Today, members of the IUSAR participated in a comprehensive refresher training program that encompassed the History of Search and Rescue (SAR), SAR Resources, and SAR Incident Management, with a specific focus on the National Incident Management System and Incident Command System. The organization extends its appreciation to the Gibson Township Volunteer Fire Department for their attendance and provision of lunch.

Over the weekend, K9 handlers from Indiana United Search and Rescue and Southern Indiana Search & Rescue teams participated in a specialized training exercise to acclimate their canine partners to operating in proximity to water or from boats. A sincere expression of gratitude is extended to Tri-Township Fire & Rescue for their assistance in facilitating this training.
